Step Four: Start finding speaking engagements

Where to Speak

There is a  "ladder" of speaking opportunities. Starting at the lowest level, where speaking is extremely casual and engagements are easy to get to the highest level where standard are extremely high and you need a lot of experience. We discuss those levels here and link to descriptions of each.

We are collecting as many lists as we can find that give you contact information for finding speaking engagements. Over time, we are going to organize and break down these lists into smaller lists, based, for examples, on geography.

The Idea List

The idea list is a list of typical organization that regularly book speakers. It includes both the contact for national headquarters for the various affiliated organizations and suggestions about where to look for unaffiliated groups that typically book speakers. Clear hear to access.

This list gives you the various conference and convention centers around the US, broken down by state.
